One of the 49 cabooses sent from France loaded with gifts in appreciation of the United States of America liberating France during WW2.

A few minutes south of Reno you can find the Nevada State Railroad Museum. This museum holds a number of exhibits inside its massive frame. With activities for both adults and kids alike the museum has enough attractions for hours of enjoyment. Take a walk through their multitude of cars and learn about the heritage of railroads throughout Nevada. Take the time to find the restored "Gratitude Car" – a gift from the provinces of France to the United States of America for the assistance during World War II. After perusing the exhibits you can buy tickets then head outside to the Wabuska Depot and see if you can hop on the train or motorcar which will loop you around the museum.
